On the utility of free will/determinism…

I recently wrote a four page paper about free will and determinism.  It got me thinking, is there any greater utility, whatsoever, from the concept “free will,” “determinism,” or anything related to this topic of philosophy?  I don’t think so.  I think everything you can say with free will can be said better with other words.  Also, it wastes the time of a lot of people (including me) because I feel that I have an obligation to show people how to get out of bad logical fallacies.

Ugh.
